Comcast Lets Subs Kick Tires on FX+

Looking to spur interest in FX+, Comcast recently ran a free preview weekend of the advertising-free offering, which runs $5.99 per month for a library of more than 1,000 episodes.
Comcast and FX Networks launched FX+ last September, joining other recently added commercial-free, subscription services that include AMC Premiere, which runs $4.99 per month.
Comcast ran the FX+ free preview Jan. 19-21, giving it prominent placement on X1, the MSO’s flagship pay TV offering that features a cloud-based UI.
FX Networks and Comcast have not released subscriber figures for FX+, but the programmer noted that it’s “been pleased with the progress,” adding that it’s seen “significant growth” tied to the launch of The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story alongside other promotional efforts for the ad-free offering.
