ABC Studios, CNN, Time Warner Cable Have Vision
ABC Studios, CNN and Time Warner Cable each won multiple National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications Vision Awards during the diversity organization's 15th annual awards event
The April 17 Beverly Hills-based luncheon ceremony for the Vision Awards, which honors excellence in multi-ethnic and culturally-relevant original television programming, drew more than 350 attendees, according to the organization.
ABC Studios took home two Vision Awards -- which this year expanded its eligibly rules to include broadcast and online content - in the categories of drama for Grey's Anatomy and comedy for Ugly Betty.
Time Warner Cable's Spanish-language on-demand show Time Warner Cable's Futbol Mania garnered two awards in the category of foreign language and long-form digital media, while CNN took top honors in the documentary category for its CNN Presents: Black in America, as well as in the news/informational category for Black in America: Suicide Survivor.
Overall, Disney/ABC Television Group and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. each garnered a total of three wins.
The awards luncheon was held in conjunction with NAMIC-Southern California's West Coast Creative Summit event, according to the organization.
