Adam Carolla's Car Show Slated For Speed Debut July 13
Comedian Adam Carolla's The Car Show will debut on Speed Channel on July 13 at 10 p.m.
The "car stuff and comedy" series headlines the network's summer lineup, which includes the launch of three new series and the return of three others.
"We are continuing the very aggressive development agenda we established for 2011 and beyond," Hunter Nickell, president of Fox Sports Media Group's Speed, said in a release. "With a staggered summer launch, a show or two planned for the fall and a good idea for what we want in the first quarter of 2012, we are doing more to strengthen our prime time lineup than ever before."
Joining Carolla on The Car Show are Pulitzer Prize-winning automotive journalist Dan Neil of The Wall Street Journal, TheSmokingTire.com's Matt Farah and former NBA great John Salley. Automotive journalists Ezra Dyer and Aaron Robinson also will be contributors.
Said Carolla in the release: "I get to live out my boyhood fantasies about racing cars, hanging out in cars, talking about cars, building cars, wrenching on cars ... and someone pays me to do it."
July also marks the return of American Trucker with host Robb Mariani. For season two, premiering July 14 at 10 p.m. ET, Mariani continues his cross-country adventures, introducing the Speed audience to iconic trucks, the famous routes they follow and cargo missions that continue to make history.
Speed rolls out two new Wednesday night titles in August with Dumbest Stuff on Wheels (premieres Aug. 3 at 8 p.m. ET; 13 X 30-minute episodes) and My Ride Rules (premieres Aug. 3 at 9 p.m. ET; 13 X 30-minute episodes).

My Ride Rules, from ITV Studios, lets four ultra-competitive, thrill-seeking motor heads, who think their car is best, take a spin together in each other's rides to see whose car really comes out on top and whose is left in the dust.
Dumbest Stuff on Wheels, from A. Smith & Co., is a fast-paced, comedic-style clip show highlighting some of the funniest, most cringe-inducing automotive mishaps, miscalculations and mistakes captured on video that can truly be classified as "the dumbest stuff on wheels".
Speed series The 10 and Pass Time also return with new episodes, with Pass Time moving into prime time in August. Several other shows remain in development, including the Rob Cohen gymkhana project with the working title BattleX and a show by the developers of the hit series Wipeout, entitled Whipped.
