ADC Telecommunications said it is shipping its DOCSIS 2.0 cable modem termination system, the Cuda 12000.
The module includes a Broadcom Corp. DOCSIS 2.0 chipset and provides throughput of nearly 500 Megabits per second.
“DOCSIS 2.0 is a substantial upgrade for MSOs and will give them the tools to offer enhanced voice, video and data services on a single platform,” said Hilton Nicholson, president of the IP Cable business unit for ADC, in a statement.
