A&E Revamps Genealogy.com Site

A&E Television Networks, which acquired Genealogy.com
LLC in February, announced the Web site's relaunch Tuesday.

The Internet site emphasizes the ease in researching one's family tree
('Discover your family's story in three easy steps').

In addition, starting this week, the site will tie-in with A&E Network's
Biography series to enable viewers to learn about the family trees of
royalty, celebrities and the like, according to Genealogy.com senior vice
president and general manager Rob Armstrong. Viewers can click on an 'A&E
Viewer's Corner.'

AETN president Nickolas Davatzes had indicated in February that the
programmer would link its acquisition to its cable programming. Next,
Genealogy.com will create family trees linked to The History Channel's This
Week in History
series.

Since Genealogy.com is a sponsor of the American Family
Immigration History Center of the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation
Inc., its Web-site users can also link to that organization's site.
