A&E's 'Hoarders,' 'Intervention' Return with Double-Digit Growth
A&E Network kicked off 2012 with significant growth for back-to-back premieres of its longtime Monday night franchises, Hoarders and Intervention.
The fifth season premiere of Hoarders on Jan. 2 in the 9 p.m. averaged 2.4 million viewers, including 1.3 million adults 25 to 54 and 1.1 million persons 18 to 49, according to Nielsen data. The new episode delivery represented growth of 60% among total viewers, and 52% and 43% against the respective demos, when compared with the series' fourth-season average.
At 10 p.m., the season 12 premiere of the Emmy award-winning Intervention delivered 1.8 million total viewers, 1.2 million persons 18 to 49 and 1.1 million adults 25 to 54, according to Nielsen. It was up by 29% in total viewers, 20% among the18-49s and 18% with the 25-to-54 set, versus its season 11 average.
