Amazon to Debut ‘Pistorius’ Series Sept. 6

Amazon has set a Sept. 6 date for the premiere of the four-part unscripted series Pistorius, the streaming service said Tuesday.

The series profiles South African Paralympic and Olympics sprinter Oscar Pistorius, who shot and killed his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day 2013, according to Amazon. The film explores the tragedy of Reeva Steenkamp’s death alongside, and in the context of, South Africa’s society, said the streaming service.

Pistorius, directed by Vaughan Sivell and made over three years, will stream on Amazon’s Prime Video in the US and across 200 countries, said Amazon.
