The pop-culture and music network has green-lit Yo Momma, the comedy competition series created and hosted by Wilmer Valderrama, for first-quarter 2006.
In the new series, Valderrama, who plays Fez on the Fox sitcom That ’70s Show, which is about to embark on its eighth and final season, searches the country for the funniest and most outrageous trash-talkers to battle head-to-head in each episode. MTV plans to run the weekday afternoons over a four-week period, according to network officials.
Valderrama’s skein joins Punk’d, created by fellow That ’70s Show star Ashton Kutcher, on MTV.
