Arris Aligns Around Three Product Divisions
After closing its acquisition of C-COR, Arris Monday announced it has reorganized into three product-oriented divisions and named the executives that will run each one.
The Broadband Communications Group will include all cable modem head-end and customer premises products, including cable modem termination system and universal edge quadrature amplitude modulation platforms. Group president Bruce McClelland was previously Arris vice president and general manager of customer-premises equipment products.
The Access, Transport and Supplies Group will incorporate the current C-COR Access and Transport business and the current Arris Telewire Supply business. The group president will be John Caezza, previously president of C-COR Broadband Systems Solutions.
The Media and Communications Systems Group will include the C-COR operational support systems software and video-on-demand businesses, as well as the Arris Fixed Mobile Convergence products. This group will be led by Bryant Isaacs, previously Arris president of new business ventures
In addition, a sales and marketing group that combines employees from both Arris and C-COR will be led by Arris president of worldwide sales Ron Coppock. The sales group will be organized in three geographical units: Americas; Europe, Middle East and Africa; and Asia-Pacific.
Arris also formed the Advanced Technology and Services group created to “coordinate areas of major synergy among the product groups,” the company said. The group, headed by Jim Lakin, previously president of Arris Broadband Products, will be responsible for long-range planning, particularly for products and solutions that cross product group lines.
“I am very pleased to announce the organization structure of a powerful new company that is unique in its strengths and talents,” Arris chairman and CEO Bob Stanzione said in a statement.
