Arris Group Inc. said Sterling Cable in San Antonio is deploying its Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification 2.0 broadband fixed-wireless system using its “Cadent C3” cable-modem-termination system and “WM450” cable modems.
"The combined Arris-VCOM solution makes a lot of sense for us to deploy in our market," Sterling Cable president Bill Jones said. "Being a point-to-multipoint operator already, using MMD [multichannel multipoint distribution] frequencies and this 700-megahertz solution, allows us to capture more of the market share."
