Arris promoted Dan Whalen to senior vice president of sales and said he will assume responsibility of sales to Cablevision Systems, Canadian and Eastern U.S. cable operators in addition to his continued responsibility for Comcast sales.
Whalen, who reports to Arris president of worldwide sales and marketing Ron Coppock, joined the company in January 2008 as vice president of sales for the Comcast account. Previously he was Cisco Systems's director of service sales for the U.S. cable market and has held senior positions with Comdisco, KPMG Consulting and Bell Atlantic Networks.
