Atlantic Broadband Names Dutch Telecom Exec van der Post New President
Cojeco Communications has named Frank van der Post the new president of its Atlantic Broadband subsidiary.
Van der Post replaces Richard Shea, the Cogeco’s former top U.S. cable executive, who left in April for what were described as personal reasons.
Van der Post, arrives from Dutch telecom KPN, where he last served as chief commercial officer, and was on the board from 2015-2018. He’ll report to Philippe Jetté, president and CEO of Canada’s Cogeco Communications, and will start his new post on Nov. 4.
“Frank’s proven leadership skills combined with his strong strategic marketing knowledge and a track record of successfully delivering results, particularly in industries that are highly customer-focused, make him an ideal candidate to take the leadership role at Atlantic Broadband,” Jetté said, in a statement.
Prior to joining KPN, van der Post worked for British Airways and InterContinental Hotels Group.
