Aurora Names McCollam CFO
Aurora Networks, a privately held provider of optical transport solutions to cable operators, named Craig McCollam its chief financial officer.
McCollam most recently was CFO at Dionex, a manufacturer serving the chemical industry now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. He spent 18 years at Dionex in various financial roles.
Prior to that, McCollam was an assistant controller at Ensco and worked for Ernst & Young.
"Craig McCollam is a talented and versatile leader who is known for motivating people at all levels, enabling them to excel and achieve desired results," Aurora CEO chairman, president and CEO Guy Sucharczuk said in a statement. "Our company is active on the acquisition trail, and McCollam is a power player who will help drive our future direction as we continue with our evolutionary process of equipping cable operators with the most effective, future-proof solutions."
McCollam replaces Kenton Chow, who had joined Aurora in 2007 and left last year to become CFO of domain-name services firm Nominum in September 2010.
