AXS TV To Pay Tribute To Alan Thicke
AXS TV will remember the late Alan Thicke this Friday with a re-broadcast of an appearance the actor made on the network’s original series Tom Green Live (video clip).
The hour-long 2014 interview features comedian Green interviewing Thicke about his life and career. Thicke died Monday of a heart attack at age 69.
Thicke was best known by TV viewers for his role as Jason Seaver in the 1980’s comedy Growing Pains. More recently, Thicke appeared in Netflix’s comedy series Fuller House and starred in a reality series Unusually Thicke on Pop network. Season two had recently finished airing on Pop, which is expected to air tribute programming soon. Pop president Brad Schwartz said in a statement: “We are deeply saddened to hear of Alan's passing. He was a part of our Pop family and was a tremendous talent. He was also for all who knew him, an amazing father and a true gentleman. We had the privilege to work with America's Favorite Dad and his loss is one that is deeply felt.”
