BendBroadband of Oregon has hired Gary Lawrence as chief financial offer. He succeeds Tom Palmer, who is remaining on the board to assist with the transition.
“We looked nationwide for the best candidate for this position and found he was right in our backyard,” BendBroadband president and CEO Amy Tykeson said, in a statement.
Lawrence, who moved from New York City to the Bend area in 2000, most recently was president of Lawrence Consulting, a firm that provided financial, management and turnaround consulting services to companies in the Northwest U.S.
He is also late of Hamstreet & Associates, Cort Software, Orcom Solutions, LiveWire Ventures and PriCellular. He graduated with honors from Wake Forest University, and earned an MBA in finance, business economics, money and financial markets from Columbia University.
