Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc. plans to announce Monday that it's hired
Banc of America Securities LLC analyst Mike Benevento as senior vice president
of investor relations and investment officer.
Benevento -- who will be Gemstar's main contact with the Street -- will take
on some of the IR responsibilities handled by co-president Pete Boylan, whose
resignation is effective Monday.
He will also help to crunch numbers on the deal side.
