BET Leads Cable’s `NAACP Image Awards' Noms
BET garnered the lion’s share of cable’s NAACP Image Awards nominations, the civil rights organization announced Tuesday morning.
BET earned 13 nominations to lead all cable networks, including an Outstanding Drama Series nomination for its original series Being Mary Jane, according to the NAACP.
Other cable networks garnering multiple television nominations include Comedy Central, Starz, HBO, BBC America, TV One, OWN, MSNBC, Showtime, Disney Channel and Nickelodeon.
OTT service Netflix also earned a handful of Image Awards nominations in the television category.
TV One will televise live on Feb. 5 the 47th NAACP Image Awards event.
