Veteran publicist Sue Binford Friday resigned as senior vice president of corporate communications for the Disney-ABC Television Group.
She will be succeeded by Kevin Brockman, who was essentially promoted to her old position, named senior VP of communications for the Disney-ABC TV Group.
Binford is stepping down to pursue other opportunities, she said in a press release.
Binford -- whose resume includes a stint in public relations for Turner Broadcasting System Inc. -- joined The Walt Disney Co. in June 2003 as senior VP of communications for the ABC Television Network and the ABC Broadcast Group.
In September, Binford assumed her most recent duties following a reorganization of all of Disney’s non-sports-TV properties under Anne Sweeney, co-chair of Disney Media Networks and president of the Disney-ABC TV Group.
Brockman most recently served as senior VP of entertainment communications for the Disney-ABC TV Group.
