By MONICA HOGAN
published Starz Encore Group LLC said Tuesday that it would spend $3 million to promote
the June 18 premiere of Spike Lee film A Huey P. Newton Story on Black
Starz.
The multifaceted marketing campaign will include a national branding and
media campaign, consumer-acquisition efforts, local screening events, college
scholarships and customer-service-representative incentives. The premium
programmer also plans to update its Web site, www.blackstarzmovies.com, with

The movie, adapted from the Roger Guenveur Smith off-Broadway play,
