Boomerang Boosts Lineup with Acquisitions

Boomerang will be home to Bullwinkle and Tennessee Tuxedo this
summer as part of its acquisitions of nine series.

The animated retro-channel spinoff of Cartoon Network has secured the rights
to The Bullwinkle Show, Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales,
Underdog and The Dudley Do-Right Show from Jay Ward.

These series -- as well as Mr. T, Dragon's Lair and Chuck
Norris' Karate Commandos
from Ruby Spears Enterprises, and The Complete
Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley
and Young Robin Hood -- will begin
airing July 1.

Five of the new programs will be stripped weekdays: Dudley Do-Right at
2 p.m., The Bullwinkle Show at 2:30 p.m., Underdog at 3 p.m.,
Tennessee Tuxedo at 3:30 p.m. and Ed Grimley at 10:30 a.m.

The remaining four series will be featured Sundays: Dragon's Lair at
noon, Young Robin Hood at 12:30 p.m., Mt. T at 1 p.m. and
Karate Commandos at 1:30 p.m.

A Cartoon spokesman said none of these series is currently airing on that
channel. He added, though, that the Ward series had screened on Cartoon in the
past, and this represented a reacquisition of those
properties.
