Bravo, Oxygen Research Execs Promoted
Tony Cardinale was promoted to the newly created position of senior vice president of research and strategic insights for Bravo Media and Oxygen Media, officials said Tuesday.
Cardinale joined Bravo Media in March 2005 as vice president of research and in his role, managed all of the network's original program testing and developmental research. He led a team that provided research support for the network's strategic market positioning, digital interactive reporting and analysis, and brand and consumer insights.
In addition to continued oversight of Bravo Media's research team, Cardinale will expand his responsibilities to include oversight of both Bravo and Oxygen’s program, ad sales, new media and primary research – including program testing, consumer surveys, consumer segmentation, ad performance research and focus groups. Cardinale will be based out of both Bravo Media's headquarters at 30 Rockefeller Plaza and the Oxygen offices in Chelsea in Manhattan.
Additionally, two Oxygen research executives, Christina Pisano and Sarah Barasch, will expand their responsibilities under the newly reorganized group. Pisano will assume the newly expanded role of vice president of Bravo/Oxygen Research, directing the primary and ratings research efforts for both networks.
Barasch will take on the newly expanded role of vice president of ad sales research for Bravo/Oxygen. Digital research will be co-managed within both areas, supporting both programming and sales digital research needs. Pisano and Barasch will report to Cardinale.
Cardinale joined NBC Universal from ZenithOptimedia US, where he was consistently promoted to work in different areas of the company serving ultimately as senior vice president and head of Strategic Insights consecutively for Saatchi & Saatchi Media, Zenith Media and Optimedia.
In these roles, Cardinale led cross-platform communications research to support both strategic planning and buying, and helped develop a proprietary suite of planning tools for the ZenithOptimedia agencies.
