Bright House Central Florida Hit By Video Glitch: Reports
Bright House Networks customers in the Orlando metro area experienced video problems -- including frozen screen images and pixilation -- for at least half an hour Thursday evening, according to local reports.
The cable operator characterized the issue as "a brief reception problem" that affected a limited number of channels for subscribers in the Kissimmee area and later in parts of Seminole County. The problems began around 10:30 p.m. and were fixed shortly after 11 p.m.
"It affected a very small number of customers, based on the fact that it was only in localized areas, only affected certain channels, and was brief when it did affect a channel," a Bright House spokesman said in a statement to The Orlando Sentinel.
The problems disrupted basic-cable channels, while HD and other digital channels apparently weren't affected, according to WOFL, the Fox owned-and-operated station in Orlando.
