Florida cable provider Bright House Networks is encouraging subscribers to submit amateur video clips for its new You On Demand service.
The video-on-demand product -- available on channel 300 on its central Florida system and channel 340 on its Tampa Bay system -- contains user-generated videos similar to some of the content available on Web sites such as YouTube.
“You On Demand allows customers to see some of the area’s funniest home videos -- including their own -- when they want,” Bright House Networks Florida Group president John Rigsby said in the announcement.
Bright House said Florida residents can submit You On Demand entries through the Web sites of either of its local, 24-hour news channels in Florida -- Central News 13 or Bay News 9.
You On Demand launched last week.
