E! Entertainment Television announced Monday that it's partnering with
Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc.'s Budweiser and South Beach Beverage Co.'s SoBe
beverage in the national search for Wild On's new female host.
Wild On is E!'s travel series, on which current host Brooke Burke will
continue through November. Burke was recently named to host Rank, the
network's new pop-culture countdown series.
The search will be supported with special Wild On episodes and on the
E! Online Web site.
For instance, Budweiser will sponsor 'Wild On Wants You' segments and
Burke's 'wildest' Wild On moments. The beer brand will also back the
'2002 Wild On Bud Online Sweepstakes,' targeting viewers aged 21 through
49.
In addition, SoBe, a line of herbally enhanced beverages, will entitle a
'SoBe Wild Card Poll' on E! Online each week throughout June and July, when
viewers will vote on the featured contestants.
The search will also be backed by bar and club promotions in key major
markets.
The search -- which actually began last month in Los Angeles, San Diego, Las
Vegas and Dallas -- continues this week in New York (May 14 and 15) and Chicago
(May 18).
Following additional searches in France, Australia and South America, a
winner will be chosen in July, E! said.
