Discovery Networks U.S. announced Wednesday that Steve Burns has been named
senior vice president and general manager of The Science Channel.
Burns had been senior VP of production for sister network Discovery
Channel.
Science Channel will also be singled out for new commitments to programming,
marketing and management resources, Discovery Networks U.S. president Billy
Campbell said in a release.
The former Discovery Science Channel was renamed The Science Channel in April
2002.
