After taking some heat for not cutting the rate for Madison Square Garden
Network when it lost the Yankees to Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network,
Cablevision Systems Corp. is offering its New York Mets fans a buy-one,
get-one-free deal for MSGN and Fox Sports New York.
Subscribers buying MSGN a la carte for $8.95 to $12.95 per month or FSNY for
$10.95 to $13.95 will receive the other service free beginning April 1.
Both services are on premium tiers in about 60 percent of the MSO's 3 million
households.
