California Amplifier Inc. changed its name to CalAmp Corp. Wednesday.
The Oxnard, Calif.-based provider of wireless and content-delivery solutions, services and products and its Vytek unit, which it recently acquired, will operate under the CalAmp name.
“The recent acquisition of Vytek presents an ideal opportunity to introduce a new identity that leverages the value and recognition we have achieved through our history, while better reflecting our mission of assisting customers in achieving the benefits of breakthrough and emerging technologies,” CEO Fred Sturm said in a prepared statement.
