CAM Systems Acquires MiTRA
CAM Systems LLC announced Thursday that it has acquired MiTRA Technologies
Inc.
Terms were not disclosed.
'By blending together the talent, solutions and customers of the two
companies,' Saratoga, Calif.-based CAM president Martino Mingione said in a
prepared statement, 'we can immediately deliver the most comprehensive
traffic-and-billing, sales-planning and programming-rights and clearances
solutions to cable and broadcast markets.'
New York-based MiTRA president Steve Basu said his firm built its initial
software programs, for instance, in program rights and content management for
ESPN Classic, Fox News Channel, MSNBC and Oxygen Media.
CAM, formed by The Lenfest Group in 1996, is the traffic-and-billing vendor
for systems owned by such MSOs as Charter Communications Inc., Comcast Cable
Communications Inc. and Time Warner Cable.
