Cartoon Network said production has begun on its latest animated series, Squirrel Boy.
The network said 13 half-hour episodes are being produced at Cartoon Network Studios in Burbank, Calif., with Everett Peck as creator and executive producer, for a summer-2006 debut.
Squirrel Boy tells the tale of a squirrel and his boy, and voice actors on the series will include Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Richard Horvitz, Pamela S. Adlon and Kurtwood Smith (That 70s Show).
