CBS Sports Network will have a new spot on DirecTV’s dial, starting next Wednesday.
The 24-hour cable home of CBS Sports will improve its channel position to 221 on the top DBS provider, moving up from channel 613 on Aug. 21.
CBS Sports Network, part of DirecTV’s Choice Extra and Sports Pack offerings, counts more than 50 million subscribers and is available to more than 99 million households nationwide.
The service airs more than 350 live games annually, showcasing men’s and women’s sports, studio shows, documentaries and original programs. Adding more Mountain West Conference action to a schedule that also includes Conference USA and service academy contests, CBS Sports Network will televise 51 college football games in the 2013, up from 44 last year. Its schedule begins on Aug. 29 with USC-Hawaii and also features highly ranked Stanford at Army on Sept. 14, Notre Dame at Air Force on Oct. 26 and Boise State-San Diego State on Nov. 23
