CDW Secures Roadblock on Trek
CDW Computer Centers Inc. is beaming down onto Star Trek
programming.
The technology-solutions company will sponsor a 'roadblock' unit Wednesday
night on TNN: The National Network's and United Paramount Network's
presentations of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek:
Enterprise, respectively.
The spot will air Nov. 7 between 8 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. on the franchises,
according to the networks.
The cross-platform buy will expend to Paramount Syndication Television in the
weeks ahead, along with a CDW sponsorship of TNN's Next Generation
programming through year's end, including a Star Trek marathon Nov. 23
from 9 a.m. to midnight.
'CDW is a significant new business-to-business advertiser representing an
important new category for TNN,' said Sue Danaher, executive vice president and
general sales manager for Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, TV Land and TNN, in a
prepared statement.
'CDW has seized this tremendous opportunity to get their message to the
smart, upscale 18-through-49 viewer that the Star Trek franchise
attracts,' she added.
