UnitedGlobalCom Inc. said Tuesday that Mark Schneider has resigned as chairman of its European subsidiary, chellomedia.
The company said Schneider will transition into a consulting position focusing primarily on media and content services.
chellomedia president Shane O'Neill will assume Schneider's day-to-day responsibilities at that unit.
“Mark was a cofounder of UGC, and he has made significant contributions over the past 15 years to the company's strategic direction and accomplishments, particularly in Europe,” UGC CEO Mike Fries said in a prepared statement.
“He has motivated us all with his energy and passion for this business, and I am pleased that Mark will continue to provide his insight and ideas to UGC in his new role,” Fries added.
