Cingular Wireless Adds HBO Latino

Cingular Wireless is now offering select original programs from HBO Latino as part of its mobile-content package -- HBO Mobile subscription service on Cingular Video -- available to subscribers with 3G (third-generation) handsets.

The HBO Latino category includes animated series El Perro y El Gato, which teaches English and Spanish vocabulary to kids; Habla Mas, the latest from the Habla series, focusing on what it means to be Latino in the United States, with dialogue in Spanish, English and Spanglish; and Spanish-language boxing series Generacion Boxeo, featuring fight commentaries and interviews with up-and-coming Latino boxers.

In addition, HBO Mobile original series La Traductora joined the HBO Latino programs.

HBO Mobile subscriptions are available on Cingular Wireless for $4.99 per month. Besides HBO Latino programming, the service includes full-length episodes of Entourage, Sex and the City, Dane Cook's Tourgasm, Real Time with Bill Maher and Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam. Cingular also offers HBO Family Mobile for $2.99 per month, including Crashbox, A Little Curious, Frog Blues and El Perro y El Gato.

HBO Mobile and HBO Family Mobile are available to subscribers to the Cingular Media Max Data Package. Cingular Media Max offers unlimited Cingular Video downloads and unlimited wireless Internet for $19.99 per month.

The wireless carrier is a joint venture between AT&T and BellSouth, and it serves 58.7 million customers in the United States.
