SAN JOSE, CALIF. - Cisco Systems Inc. said it closed its acquisition of PixStream Inc., a Canadian provider of hardware and software designed to manage digital video across multiple broadband-network platforms.
Cisco, which announced the $369 million stock deal on Aug. 31, said the addition of PixStream will accelerate the company's strategy of building and deploying networks outfitted for bundled voice, video and data services to consumer and commercial customers.
