Claire Foy was awarded the Emmy for lead actress in a drama series.
Foy, who plays Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix’s The Crown, defeated last year’s winner in the category Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), along with Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black), Keri Russell (The Americans) and Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld).
