Comcast will add 197 jobs at its call center in the Detroit suburb of Sterling Heights, Mich., AP reported.
The MSO said the new hires were due to higher demand for its Comcast Digital Phone offering, adding that calls will be rerouted from its facility in St. Paul, Minn., to Sterling Heights, according to AP.
“We feel that we do a better job serving customers from the local sites,” Comcast area vice president Mike Casillo told The Detroit News. “Pricing does differ, so we like our staff to have more local knowledge.”
