MicroStrategy Inc. said it will supply Comcast Cable Communications Inc. with
its business-intelligence platform, which will allow the MSO to track business
data across its 55,000 employees and six divisions.
Comcast said the software will allow employees to create their own reports,
"and that helps to support our goal of generating and internally disseminating
timely, in-depth reports on key aspects of our operations," Comcast director of
business-intelligence systems Eric DeSimone said in a prepared statement.
The MSO said it will run the MicroStrategy software on its 1-terabyte
"Redbrick" database.
