Comcast Corp. has promoted John Gibbs to vice president of state government affairs.
Gibbs had been VP of government and regulatory affairs for the MSO's Midwest division.
In his new role, he will oversee Comcast's state-level government-affairs activities, including the formation of legislative strategies and policy initiatives.
Gibbs will be based in St. Paul, Minn., and report to VP of government affairs Kerry Knott in Washington, D.C.
