Comcast Wants Its VTV

Teen/tween programming service VTV: Varsity Television has struck a
video-on-demand distribution deal with Comcast Corp., the industry's largest
system owner.
VTV, which launched in digi-net form seven months ago, will be deployed as a
free VOD channel among Comcast's systems in Philadelphia, New Jersey and
portions of New England.
Comcast is expected to start offering VTV content later this month.
The on-demand lineup includes Fame School, Student Studio,
21C (Twenty-First Century) and VTV Talent Show. Many of the
programs feature content from high schools across the country.
Additional agreement details were not released at press
time.
