Patsy and Edina are back.
The boozy, overindulgent babes from Britain will return to Comedy Central
with six new episodes of 1990s smash hit Absolutely Fabulous this
fall.
Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders will reprise their respective roles as
hard-living Patsy and Edina, the over-the-top fad chasers who took the London
fashion scene by storm in six new episodes that will hit the States in
November.
Shooting of the new episodes begins this month. Absolutely Fabulous is
a BBC Production in association with Comedy.
Pilot Mirrorball, originally slated for production as a series, will
air instead as a half-hour special next year.
Absolutely Fabulous originally aired in the United Kingdom in 1992 before
being imported to the United States by Comedy in July 1994.
