By MCN Staff
published Concurrent Computer’s MediaHawk 4500 On-Demand platform is heading to Hawaii.
Oceanic Time Warner Cable will deploy the product to expand its video-on-demand offerings, the vendor said.
The MH4500 platform will supplement Oceanic's MH4000-based VOD architecture with Concurrent's Gatling Resilient Streaming Technology and add random-access-memory caching features designed to accommodate the increased stream demands associated with Time Warner Cable's Start Over network-based digital-video-recorder application, Concurrent added.
The company said the deployment in Hawaii is the world's first VOD deployment featuring Gatling Resilient Streaming Technology.
