Chip-maker Conexant Systems introduced an audio/video decoder for PC-based TV applications and consumer electronics.
The company said the chip, the CX25845, combines in a single device a multiformat audio decoder, a worldwide broadcast audio decoder and a 3-D comb filter, which separates the black-and-white picture information from the color information contained in a composite video signal.
