Time Warner Cable is adding to its bill with Convergys Corp.
The AOL Time Warner Inc.- owned MSO signed a deal to extend its
billing-services contract with Convergys to add the 'ICOMS' billing platform for
voice, video and data.
Convergys has provided billing-management services for 20 of Time Warner's 39
divisions. The extended deal adds the ICOMS software package, allowing for
bundled voice, video and data billing in those markets.
'As this agreement indicates, we have tremendous confidence in Convergys and
are pleased to extend and expand our relationship,' said Jim Jeffcoat, vice
president for strategic procurement at Time Warner Cable, in a release.
'ICOMS is an important tool at Time Warner Cable, enabling us to accelerate
revenue growth from the rollout of new services such as video-on-demand, home
networking and interactive television,' he added.
