Convergys Corp. has released its "ICOMS 5.0" software package, which, the company said, integrates its "Geneva" rating engine for Internet telephony.
The package's provisioning transaction manager provides for an automated, configurable and open-standards output to integrate with the activation manager for real-time, flow-through provisioning or to share data with third-party provisioning systems.
Convergys said this allows operators to minimize the time, cost and errors associated with manually transmitting information.
The new software gives customers enhanced statements and expands their ability to define and package service bundles. For instance, operators can show consumers on their bills how much money they are saving through discounted bundle offerings.
Convergys added that the software allows operators to speed activation of new services and eliminate truck rolls through better network inventory-management tools.
