Courtroom Television Network will pair a new series with a transplanted one
to keep its viewers about to speed about legal matters in Hollywood.
Beginning Oct. 2, Court TV will devote a full hour on Thursday nights, bowing
Hollywood Justice at 8 p.m., followed by Hollywood at Large -- the
two-year-old skein that has been airing Fridays at 7 p.m. -- at 8:30 p.m.
Hollywood Justice, via interviews with friends, journalists and
colleagues, will examine one celebrity’s brush with the law and look into the
subject’s background to see how it might have contributed to his or her fall
from grace.
Pop king Michael Jackson is the first to be put under Court TV’s magnifying
glass, with the installment culminating with the recent dangling of his baby
over a German hotel balcony. Upcoming subjects include Winona Ryder, Phil
Spector and Martha Stewart.
Hollywood at Large will now tape Thursday mornings, instead of its prior
Friday schedule, as it explores and updates the latest developments where pop
culture collides with crime and justice -- both in real-life and in fictional
realms.
