Court TV Promotes Bell to President, COO
Courtroom Television Network executive vice president of programming and
marketing Art Bell will take over as president and chief operating officer of
the network.
Bell succeeds president and COO Dick Beahrs, who is retiring at the end of
the year to concentrate on several public-service initatives, according to Court
TV officials. Beahrs will remain as an advisor to the network.
In addition to his current responsibilities for programming, production,
creative services and marketing, along with corporate communications, Bell will
now also oversee affiliate relations and ad sales, Court TV chairman and CEO
Henry Schleiff said.
"Art has been an integral part of our success ever since he joined the
network, especially given his important contributions in building Court TV’s
brand through compelling original programming and impactful targeted marketing,"
Schleiff said in a statement.
"Accordingly, I believe his new and additional
responsibilities for affiliate relations and ad sales will provide a seamless
transition to their well managed and continued growth," he
added.
