Cox, DBS Services Storm the Hardwood

Cox Communications Inc., DirecTV Inc. and EchoStar Communications Corp. love this game.

The MSO and the two leading direct-broadcast satellite providers each announced special programming initiatives during the National Basketball Association’s upcoming All-Star Weekend.

Cox Digital Cable customers will get a free preview of NBA TV Thursday through Feb. 17.

And DirecTV and EchoStar’s Dish Network said they will offer the NBA All-Star Game and All-Star Saturday Night activities in high-definition on Turner Network Television.

The All-Star Saturday activities begin at 8 p.m. EST, with the All-Star Game at the same time Sunday night.
