Cox Launches Azteca America in Tulsa

published Cox Communications launched Azteca America in Tulsa, Okla., marking the first straight-to-cable market for the two parties.
The carriage agreement is part of a national agreement for so-called white-areas, or markets where an Azteca America broadcast signal is not present. The Hispanic network has similar arrangements with Time Warner Cable and Comcast, as well as a straight-to-cable agreement with Buckeye CableSystem in Toledo, Ohio.
Tulsa joins eight other Cox markets carrying Azteca America: Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz.; San Diego and Santa Barbara, Calif.; Las Vegas; Wichita, Kan.; Omaha, Neb.; and Victoria, Idaho.
