Cable-billing supplier CSG Systems International Inc. is buying Telution Inc. for approximately $22 million in cash.
Telution’s “COMX” operational-support-system software has been deployed by Shaw Communications Inc., Sprint Nextel Corp. and AT&T Inc., Telution said.
CSG will use some of Telution’s telephony-billing expertise to offer billing solutions for cable operators entering the wireline-voice business, with wireless phone on the horizon.
COMX will be integrated into CSG’s “Advanced Convergent Platform” billing system.
