RCN Corp. is adding a second Ion Media Networks channel in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
The overbuilder reached a deal, terms of which were not disclosed, with Ion to launch its TV and online entertainment service for children, Qubo, which features such fare as Veggietales, Dragon,Jacob Two Two, Boo! and Theodore Tugboat.
Last summer, RCN launched Qubo on its system serving the Boston DMA.

Added RCN general manager Richard Wadman: “We are excited by the launch of Qubo in these major market systems. Qubo is a great addition to the expanded children and family programming we have included in our all-digital platform."
